Maris Racal asked for a quick breakup with her boyfriend Rico Blanco as she wanted to join in with the trend of being broken-hearted while listening to Taylor Swift’s album.

On November 12, American singer Taylor Swift re-released her 2012 album Red along with her 10-minute breakup song “All Too Well.”

Netizens then turned to jokingly break up with their partners to fully feel the singer’s breakup song.

Racal joined in the trend as she posted on Twitter that she wanted to break up with Blanco.

Racal then quoted a line from Taylor Swift’s song ‘Treacherous’ saying, “I’d be smart to walk away but you’re quicksand.“

Netizens were amused by Racal’s post as they mentioned that they also want to immerse themselves in the sad songs fully.

Others expressed their joy as Racal and Blanco became more public with their relationship.

In a previous interview on August 12, Racal admitted that her 25-year age gap with Blanco made her scared to go public with their relationship at first.

But she discovered that a lot of people accepted them and wished them well.
