Angel Locsin defends Kris Aquino from allegations about Marcos jewels

On December 1, Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin defended the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, from the allegations of stealing the ill-gotten Marcos jewels.

On her Instagram story, Locsin wrote, “She can afford to buy her own jewelry with her hard-earned money, thank you very much.”

She then shared a link to a story of former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno issuing a warning to netizens accusing Aquino that they may face criminal charges. 

In her Facebook post, Sereno noted that netizens accusing Aquino would face criminal cases, as said by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Presidential Commission on Good Government.

“Criminal case na po ang maaaring harapin niyo sa pagbibintang na ginamit ni Kris Aquino ang alahas ni Imelda na ayon sa Supreme Court ay galing sa NAKAW NA YAMAN. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas at PCGG na po ang nagsabing imposible ito.”

Her warning came from a post shared by netizens about the rumors from 2015 to 2016.

Aquino already dispelled the rumors in 2016 when she confirmed that she bought the Bottega Veneta with her hard-earned money.

“One thing that I really fear is that when you allow lies to continue, they become truths

“I just want everyone to see it to put the issue to rest. When the truth is on your side, it’s easy to discuss anything. Natakot lang ako na if you continue ignoring something because you thought it was senseless and baseless, for some people it can be acknowledged as baka totoo.”
