Due to her abusive ex-boyfriend, Liezel Lopez has a ‘fear of getting hurt’

On October 29, Liezel Lopez and Myrtle Sarrosa were the guests in the recent episode of the Kapuso show Mars Pa More. 

Lopez admitted that her abusive ex-boyfriend became the reason that she has a fear of getting hurt.

In the Mars Sharing Group segment, the two stars had to find a word or phrase in a crossword puzzle that they could relate to the most.

Lopez chose the words: loneliness, getting hurt, and loss of freedom. Among the three, she can relate it the most to her fear of getting hurt.

“Kasi once na masaktan ang tao nag-iiba siya. You will never be the same person again, it’s either you gonna get worse or you gonna get better.

“Ang pinakamalala kasi sakin ay ‘yung nagkaroon ako ng boyfriend na nananakit sita physically. So hindi lang siya emotional [but] physical din,” said Lopez.

She also mentioned that her ex-boyfriend gave her trust issues.

“Sinabi niya sa’yo na love ka niya pero kaya niyang gawin yon [pananakit], how can you trust another person again,” she said.

Liezel Lopez was previously in a relationship with Kristoffer Martin. They were together for over three months.

After her breakup with the Kapuso male star in July 2021, AC Banzon tweeted the word “pavictim,” which netizens claimed was directed at Lopez.

Banzon was Martin’s seven-year girlfriend before his relationship with Lopez.
