Ogie Diaz questions PDP-Laban’s national convention amid the MECQ in NCR, but businesses continue to remain closed
Showbiz personality Ogie Diaz questioned why the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) faction held a national convention on Wednesday, September 8, despite the implemented modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in NCR.
The party was supported by President Rodrigo Duterte and led by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
The convention aimed to finalize the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and Senatorial candidates of the said ruling party.
Diaz lamented that many small businesses in the region stopped their operation due to MECQ, thus he pondered why the said meeting attended by 400 persons was allowed.
In a facebook post on the same date of the aforementioned convention, Diaz aired his complaints against PDP-Laban.
“So sila, pwede?
Mas priority ba yan over pandemya?
In a separate post, Diaz threw shade at the Government’s decision to implement a stricter modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Metro Manila.
