Lovi Poe, excited to work with Piolo Pascual

On September 16, actress Lovi Poe expressed her excitement about working with Piolo Pascual in their upcoming Kapamilya series.

During the media conference for her Kapamilya transfer, Lovi excitedly recalled Piolo’s warm welcome when she signed her contract with ABS-CBN.

“Noong una nilang sinabi sa akin na I’m working with, of course, Mr. Piolo Pascual, I was like really excited, this was a dream come true. I’ve been wanting to work with him.

“But when he walked in kanina and bringing me flowers, this was an actual dream. Nakikita ko si Piolo Pascual may dalang bulaklak. So I’m just glad because they’re trusting me with such an amazing project and, of course, makakasama ko pa si Piolo Pascual.”

She then shared her conversation with Piolo in Dra. Vicky Belo and Hayden Kho’s wedding in 2017.

“Napagusapan po namin ‘yung nagkita pa kami, that was Dra. Vicky Belo’s wedding with Doc Hayden. So we were in Paris pa doon po kami nagflash-back because I think ‘yun po ‘yung last na nagkita kami. 

“Isa rin ‘yun sa nabanggit ko of course, dream ko siya makatrabaho so doon po kami nag-flashback.”

She also reacted to Piolo’s return as a Kapamilya on the same day she signed her contract with the network.

“It’s not just my celebration. It’s a celebration also of Piolo Pascual that we are doing this project together. So I think it’s not just because of the fact that I’m finally going to be a Kapamilya but also the fact that Mr. Piolo Pascual is finally doing another drama series with Dreamscape and ABS-CBN.”

Lovi signed her contract with ABS-CBN on September 16, confirming her transfer to the Kapamilya Network. 

Her upcoming Kapamilya project with Piolo is a Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama ‘Flower of Evil.’ Lovi also shared her favorite scene in the Korean series, which she feels most excited to shoot in their upcoming teleserye.

“I’m really excited kasi nga po Flower of Evil isa ‘yan sa mga Korean Drama. I’m an obsessed K-Drama Fan. Like Flower of Evil, ‘yung sinabi po sa akin na ito po ‘yung magiging proyekto ko ay talagang iba ‘yung naramdaman ko na I was just so excited tapos lalong lalo na noong sinabi nila na si Mr. Piolo Pascual pa ‘yung makakasama ko. 

“Alam niyo po kung ano ‘yung unang pumasok sa isip ko? ‘Yung scene na nalulunod siya sa pool at tumalon ako doon sa pool. ‘Yun po ‘yung unang pumasok sa isip ko. Talagang dream come true.”

Lovi began her career with GMA Network in 2006 with the teleserye Bakekang. She then starred in various Kapuso offerings such as La Lola, Captain Barbel, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real, Mulawin vs Ravena, and Beautiful Justice. And, her most recent teleserye is the romantic comedy series, Owe My Love.
