Ely Buendia answers netizens’ questions about Eraserheads reunion

Ely Buendia responded to netizens who asked about the possible reunion of Eraserheads through a virtual Question and Answer on Twitter on Tuesday, August 28.

When asked what it would take for the band to have a reunion, Buendia gave three different answers after persuaded his fans.

At first, Buendia said the band’s reunion would happen if Vice President Leni Robredo ran in the 2022 elections.

“Pag tumakbo si Leni,” he wrote.

Answering a netizen for the second time, Buendia said, “Jesus should come back”.

The musician said that IV of Spades should get together first before their reunion for his final response.

“Pag nag reunion 4 of spades,” he said.

In 2018, the band was rumored to perform together for UAAP men’s basketball finals, but Buendia denied these claims. In June 2019, he reiterated that there would be no reunion for the band.

He also defended himself from fans who blamed him for revoking Eraserheads’ possible reunion, saying he is not the only one making decisions for the band.

“It’s not like I’m the only one deciding these things. I’m just another cog in the machinery,” he said.

“Don’t get why when it’s something negative about the band, the blame falls on me, but if it’s something positive, oh, it’s a group effort. Anyway, I was just trying to warn the general public. Peace.”

Eraserheads last performed together in 2016 in a mini-set that included their songs Maling Akala as well as Pop machine and Poor Man’s Grave.
