Bea Alonzo, Edu Manzano, Rina Navarro initiated relief efforts to Typhoon-hit Community in Batangas

Volunteers of the non-profit organization, I AM HOPE ORG, voyaged to transport relief goods to the residents and victims of the recent typhoon Jolina in Barangay Calayo, Batangas. Not only did they step up to wade through waters to provide assistance to the affected families but they also brought optimism and hope to these casualties.

Basic commodities were distributed to devastated areas while the damage assessments are still on-going. More than 1,600 relief packs were given to affected families of the said Barangay. For the local fisherfolks and other residents whose livelihoods were greatly affected by the recent catastrophe, these supplies are of big help to sustain their living.

Celebrities Bea Alonzo, Edu Manzano, and film producer and philanthropist Rina Navarro immediately directed their response teams to deliver relief goods that were in need of aid. The group instantly reinforced disaster relief works upon learning of the severe flooding and desolation in the said province. For Bea, Edu, and Rina, it’s throbbing to see the country experiencing another blow at a time when the nation is already reeling from the surge of COVID-19 infections.

Alonzo and Navarro are the founders of I AM HOPE ORG that have been providing support to their fellow Filipinos since the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. I AM HOPE ORG continuously advocates aiding the sectors that are badly hit by the ongoing health crisis.

I AM HOPE ORG’s relief distribution activity spearheaded by Manzano, a resident of Calayo, together with Andre Navarro, Rebecca Rufino & Gigi Manzano is supported by Sta. Lucia Supermarket and Pamana Resort. Claim stubs were issued to maintain an organized relief allocation. Strict implementation of health and safety measures were observed to prevent crowding.
