Burger King® takes on Halloween with a spooky ‘Scare-Thru’

Known for its playfulness and irreverence, particularly in fun occasions like Halloween, Burger King® brings to Manila fans a spine-chilling “Scare-Thru” experience to bring back the thrill of the season that everyone misses the most.

For the first time, and only from October 29 to 31, the BK® Scare-Thru opened in Burger King® Timog, bringing the exciting feeling of a horror house adventure, but in a drive-thru format, keeping hungry customers within the safety of their cars while they haunt for some thrill and the delicious taste of a Ghost Whopper® meal.

Welcomed by an eerie store facade draped in cobwebs and red lights of horror, the customers were greeted by terrifying figures and horrifying screeches from the afterlife, during the 7:00-9:00pm horror hours, warning them of the impending scares ahead.

Customers were on the edge of their seats, as they traversed through the abandoned-looking alley trying to watch out for creepy and unexpected spooks to come their way. There was definitely no shortage of fear while they drive by as sudden gasps of breath and shrieks immediately filled the air.

Earlier in October, terrifying creatures preyed on unsuspecting recipients as Burger King® launched the limited edition Ghost Whopper®. Sandwiched between two ghostly white cheddar cheese buns is a delicious 100% flame-grilled beef patty, topped with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and onions, that will surely enchant your senses and haunt you long after your last bite.

“As a brand that prides itself for being unconventional, we wanted to give our customers and fans a spooky experience unlike any other during the scariest day of the year. We’re extremely thrilled to have been able to bring them the fun and excitement of Halloween that they have long been missing since being restricted by today’s circumstances,” said Joey Dominguez, General Manager of Burger King® Philippines.

The Ghost Whopper® continues to haunt Metro Manila until November 2 in 13 select BK stores: Times Alabang-Zapote, Malabon C4, Gil Fernando, Alabang Town Center, Macapagal Boulevard, Frontera Verde, E. Rodriguez, Fairview Commonwealth, Kamias Kalayaan, Timog, Welcome Rotonda, Ortigas Roosevelt, and BGC McKinley Park Residences. Catch it soon, or it might haunt you until the afterlife!
