Seth Fedelin wants to build his career as an actor, attain KathNiel’s success

On October 25, Kapamilya artist and Gold Squad member Seth Fedelin said he wanted to build his career as an actor and reach the success of KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) with Andrea Brillantes.

During the media conference for Huwag Kang Mangamba, Fedelin said he wants people to identify him as an actor on his own.

“Ako po, ang plano ko talaga, si Ali [Andrea] po kasi, si Andrea eh kaya mo siyang, alam mo ‘yun pagnakilala siya ng tao, ‘ah si Andrea, bida sa Annaliza ‘yan.’ Eh ako kapag tinanong mo sa tao, ‘Ah ‘yung ka-partner ni Andrea, si Seth.’

“So gusto kong, sa ngayon po gusto kong marining, kunwari nagtanong ako sa tao, ‘ah si Seth, oo ‘yung ano yan, ‘yung ganyan.’ Oo, ‘yung iba naman. So gusto kong mag-build ng sarili ko. Gusto kong may mapatunayan sa sarili ko.”

He also wanted to prove himself to Brillantes that he could succeed on his own.

“Syempre unang-una, sa sarili ko then sa mga taong nandiyan, naniniwala sa akin. At syempre kay Ali. Gusto kong mapatunayan kay Andrea na, sasabay ako sayo. 

“‘Yun ‘yung mas priority ko na, sinasabi rin sa akin ni Ali ‘yan. Sinasabi rin niya sa akin na, bumuo ka ng sarili mo, bumuo ka ng ikaw, bumuo ka ng set, bumuo ka ng–buo ka ng sarili mong craft. At ‘yun po ‘yung ginagawa ko ngayon. Doon po ako nagpo-focus. Minsan pagwala akong ginagawa nagmo-movie marathon ako mag-isa and then kung ano-ano lang maisip ko.”

Then, he added that he wants to reach the success of KathNiel alongside Brillantes.

“Gusto ko sabayan si Ali, gusto ko siyang sabayan. Gusto ko rin na sabay kami sumikat, gaya po ng sinabi niyo na parang KathNiel, gusto ko pong marating ‘yung narating nila sa sarili po naming pamamaraan.”

Fedelin won the Best Single Performance by an Actor award for his role in Maalaala Mo Kaya, Ilog Episode in the 34th Star Awards for TV.
