Noli de Castro: Is He moving to a TV5’s ‘Frontline Pilipinas’?
After leaving the ABS-CBN network and backing out from his senatorial bid, a rumor surfaced that Noli de Castro is transferring to TV5’s newscast, Frontline Pilipinas.
On October 7, the Kapamilya news anchor bid goodbye on TeleRadyo as he announced his plans of making a political comeback.
He filed his senatorial candidacy on October 8 but withdrew it days later on October 13.
He was supposed to run for the senatorial post under the banner of Presidential candidate Isko Moreno and Vice Presidential candidate Doc Willie Ong, but they allegedly had a misunderstanding.
Karen Davila took over de Castro’s leaving as she made her return to TV Patrol after 11 years.
She was previously an anchor of ANC’s The World Tonight, but as she went back to TV Patrol, her anchor desk went to senior news reporter Pia Gutierrez.
As de Castro backs out from his senatorial run and with his position on TV Patrol filled by Davila, rumors spread that he will join TV5’s Frontline Pilipinas.
There is also a vacant spot in the news program as Raffy Tulfo, one of the anchors, already bid farewell to the program as he recently filed his COC for senator.
As of this writing, de Castro still hasn’t confirmed anything regarding his plans for his broadcasting career.
