Never charged of corruption? Jaime Fabregas recalls Mayor Isko Moreno’s 70M plunder case

On October 13, seasoned actor Jaime Fabregas recalled Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s P70 million plunder case in 2014.

On his Twitter account, Fabregas asked about what happened to the P70 million.

In 2014, Moreno, a Manila Vice Mayor then, faced plunder accusations alongside other city officials for allegedly pocketing P77 million worth of real property tax by diverting it into a “dummy” barangay. Moreno dismissed the case as politically driven, claiming that they gave the P77 million funds to Barangay 128 or Smokey Mountain, Parola, and Baseco.

Fabregas also compared Moreno to President Rodrigo Duterte, noting that they both think as Mayors and not Presidents.

He also urged Moreno to back out from the presidential race in 2022.

He then responded to Moreno’s viral rants circling on social media, noting that the Manila Mayor is “full of himself.”

Moreno recently slammed Vice President Leni Robredo for her candidacy in the 2022 elections. His comments sparked adverse reactions from netizens, pointing out that he showed his ‘true colors’ early on in the political race.
