Since mid-October, there have been several speculations on social media about Jackie Rice’s fate as a Kapuso.
Some believe that she is one of the artists inbound to transfer into the Kapamilya Network. Others speculate that she’s bound to play the iconic Pinay Kontrabida, Valentina, in ABS-CBN’s upcoming fantasy series, Darna.
Netizens have started digging into the meat of the story with some speculating Rice’s transfer into the Kapamilya Network.
The speculations began with a blind item noting a Kapuso artist whose contract with the GMA Network has recently expired.

Earlier, the Kapamilya Network publicly revealed the cast of Darna. However, one of the most coveted roles for the series remains open, and it is the role of the iconic snake-haired Kontrabida, Valentina.
Although there are a lot of Kapamilya actresses who might land the legendary nemesis of Darna, Rice has a shot at facing the newest Kapamilya on-screen heroine, Jane De Leon.
Her edge among other possible candidates for the character is her experience portraying an antagonist role in GMA Network’s Darna in 2009. Rice took on the persona of Babaeng Demonyita, Helga, when Marian Rivera donned the helm of Darna.
