Diego Loyzaga admits having regrets during his absence from showbiz
On October 1, Viva artist Diego Loyzaga admitted to having regrets during his absence from showbiz.
During the media conference for Loyzaga’s upcoming movie, House Tour, he shared his realizations that he had a lot of wasted opportunities throughout his career before his absence from showbiz.
“Siguro now, mas naka-count ko ‘yung blessings ko kasi noon noong nawala ako, I was looking back at the things that I had or where I was, my position in my career. Sabi ko, ‘sobrang sayang,’ ang daming opportunities.
“I had so much more than I had at that time. Hindi ko lang siya na-appreciate or hindi ko siya nakita. So in my absence in showbiz, na-realize ko lang talaga na I could be doing so much more. I could be working so much more. I could be working so much harder.”
He then expressed his gratitude for the second chance he received with his career.
“Thank God na lang, thank Viva, thank boss Vic [del Rosario] for giving me this opportunity again and nagagawa ko na. ‘Yung mga bagay na sinasabi ko noon na dapat ginawa ko na.
“Ngayon, I was lucky enough to be given a second chance to do it all again. And, ofcourse, I’m grateful na hindi ako nagkukulang sa pasasalamat. I always say na I won’t mind /to be [being] given this chance again. But, since I’m here, I’ll make the most of it.
“Thank you, thank you, kay Lord. Thank you, kay God, Thank you, kay Boss Vic, thank you to everyone, to everyone who supported me, and everyone who supported me. Everyone who’s behind me is why I have this second chance.”
He also acknowledged the opportunities he received, especially during the pandemic.
“Unang-una swerte. Bukod sa swerte, blessed and siguro from Viva no, we’re grateful na binibigyan kami ng opportunity to work. ‘Yun na nga despite of this pandemic.
“Unang-una, I’d like to say thanks to God. Cause it’s because of Him. And secondly, because Viva and the management gave us an opportunity to work in spite of these /hard times, sobrang swerte namin. Sobrang blessed namin.”
Loyzaga stepped away from showbiz in 2018 due to personal struggles. He returned to the entertainment industry in 2020, and his career flourished despite the pandemic under Viva Artist Agency. He recently starred in Death of A Girlfriend and Bekis On The Run.
Now, Loyzaga stars in the movie, House Tour, directed by Roman Perez Jr. It also stars Mark Anthony Fernandez, Marco Gomez, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Sunshine Guimary, and Cindy Miranda. The sexy heist thriller premieres on October 22 via Vivamax.
