Korina Sanchez responds to a netizen who claimed Manny Pacquiao’s eating with hands photo as a ‘worn-out’ strategy
On her Instagram post aired on Monday, September 13, Korina Sanchez reacted to a netizen’s comment which claimed that Manny Pacquiao’s eating with hands photo is a worn-out strategy among politicians who run for elections.
The veteran broadcaster shared the photo of Pacquiao while eating with his hands, and some netizens were quick to surmise that the senator was aiming to win the people’s hearts with this act.
It was reported that Pacquiao would run for a higher position in the next elections.
The Rated Korina host captioned her post,“Ang sabi ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao: basta. Mas masarap kumain nang naka kamay.
“PS: Naubos ang dalawang takal ng kanin and fish. Naiwan ang chicken. FYI. [grinning squinting face, heart, zany face emojis]”

The comments section was swarmed by netizens who doubted Sanchez’s true intent in airing the post.
A netizen said that many people are now aware of this kind of action practiced by politicians adding that some are doing this along with poor citizens.
“Hndi nayan oobra sa tao [face with tears of joy emoji]” the netizen said.
Sanchez then explained that this is Pacquiao’s manner of eating, belying their claims.
“Ewan kung oobra. Basta ganyan sya kumain eh [smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji]”
Another netizen wrote, “Bumenta na yann”
Sanchez reponded, “Anong binebenta?”
She also explained that Pacquiao was not aware that he was photographed while eating with his hands.
Sanchez explained, “Di naman nya alam na kinukunan ko sya kaya totoo naman na ganyan ang kain nya sa bahay. [smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji]”
A netizen then commented, “hmmm yan kamay gamit na gamit na [face with tears of joy emoji] sa next nyan sirang sapatos namrn [face with tears of joy emoji]”
Sanchez hit back on the netizen, “Kumakain lang. Dami nang sinabeh? [face with tears of joy emoji]”
Another netizen commented, “The time when eating with your hand means election is coming to town [face with tears of joy emojis]”
The TV host answered, “I really dont think so. I think he really eats this way. Hindi nya alam kinukunan ko sya. [smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji]”
A netizen quipped, “Hndi nayan oobra, luma naya, wala ng iba? [face with tears of joy, thumbs down emojis]”
Sanchez came in defense for Pacquiao and said, “Nagkakamay lang sa kain. Ang haba na ng nilakad ng kuwento mo beh [face with tears of joy emoji]”
It can be remembered that President Rodrigo Duterte was also spotted eating with hands during his 2016 presidential campaign. In addition, Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, former Senator of the Philippines, also had a photo while eating with his hands.
