Janine Gutierrez shares how she’s settling in as a new Kapamilya

On September 2, at the media conference for Marry Me Marry Youactress Janine Gutierrez shared how she’s settling as a new Kapamilya.

Gutierrez expressed her gratitude to ABS-CBN and Dreamscape for paying attention to the genres she wants to explore as an artist. 

“I’m so happy to be here and to be doing this. And, naramdaman ko rin talaga ‘yung alaga ng Dreamscape. From the start, because tinanong kung anong gusto ko. Ano pa ‘yung hindi ko nagagawa. Gusto ko ba ng light or gusto ko ba talaga ng drama. 

“Sobrang na-appreciate ko na nagma-matter kung ano ‘yung gusto ko and kung ano pa ‘yung gusto ko matutunan. And ‘yung gusto kong makatrabaho itong napaka-galing na cast at mga director. So I feel so lucky talaga to be doing this show with Dreamscape and ABS-CBN.”

She then revealed that she had always wanted to work with actor Paolo Avelino.

“Actually, Paolo and I did a movie last year or noong 2019. Pero na-post pone siya because of the pandemic. 

“So kilala ko na si Pau and I’m really excited to work with him in this setting. 

“I guess siguro kasi, when we did the movie talaga namang nakakakilig si Pau so I was really looking forward na kiligin ulit. It was really a fun experience. So I knew going into this, if there’s anyone that I wanted to start my ABS-CBN journey with, it was really Pau.”

Gutierrez transferred to ABS-CBN on February 2021, and she praised the Network’s ability to produce quality content despite the pandemic.

Gutierrez’s first project with the Kapamilya Network is Marry Me, Marry You, opposite Paulo Avelino. The series premieres on September 13 at 9:20 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
