Direk Jojo Saguin highlights the Korean feel of ‘Marry Me, Marry You’

On September 2, Director Jojo Saguin highlighted the Korean Feel of Marry Me, Marry You during the media conference launch of the Kapamilya series.

Direk Jojo differentiated the teleserye from her previous projects, noting the series’ light-hearted and Korean drama feel.

“Aside from light nga ito, about family, relationship of the family. Plus marriage of two different world, ‘yung rich at ‘yung ano. Aside from nagawa ko last time na super heavy na La Vida Lena. Ibang-iba nga siya kasi mayroon siyang Korean feel. 

“Plus ‘yung texture, and ‘yung costume. Plus ‘yung characters nilang lahat.” 

She also pointed out the sub-plots of the teleserye involving Sunshine Dizon and Fino Herrera.

“Ibang iba kasi, especially yung kay Shine, ‘yung May-December affair nila ni Fino. ‘Yun isa ‘yun sa mga aabangan.”

She then acknowledged the talent of the younger cast of the teleserye.

“Plus ‘yung mga bagets. May iba-iba kasi silang characters, ‘yun. Parang umiikot sa isang roleta pero magkakaiba.”

Marry Me, Marry You is a romantic comedy teleserye revolving around the story of Andrei (Paulo Avelino) and Camille (Janine Gutierrez). The teleserye tackles the marriage between the two main characters and the concept of found family.

It is the first ABS-CBN teleserye of the newly transferred Kapamilya’s Gutierrez and Dizon. The series also stars Paulo Avelino, and it premieres on September 13 at 9:20 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
