Despite limited reach, both ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’, ‘Huwag Kang Mangamba’ are still two of the most-watched programs nationwide

Kapamilya series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Huwag Kang Mangamba remained as part of the ratings chart of AGB Nielsen for the most-watched programs nationwide.

On September 23, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano earned an 11.4% rating, ranking 4th in the chart. The longest-running series also remains the most-watched Kapamilya program.

Following FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is another Kapamilya program, Huwag Kang Mangamba which earned a 6.6% rating.

In terms of online views, the September 23 episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has 750k to 1 million views on YouTube, while Huwag Kang Mangamba has 250k to 320k views.

Following ABS-CBN’s non-renewal of its franchise, Kapamilya shows struggled to keep up on the ratings of other shows. However, as the Network partnered with other channels like A2Z, TV5, and Kapamilya Channel, some shows competed well with other programs.

A2Z and TV5, the partner stations of ABS-CBN have only 18 combined stations–far from the 52 stations of GMA Network nationwide.

Thus, the Kapuso shows have the advantage of easily dominating over ABS-CBN shows.

FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is starred by Coco Martin and Julia Montes. The show will mark its 6th year on air on September 28.

Huwag Kang Mangamba is top billed by the Gold Squad — Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Francine Diaz, and Kyle Echarri.
