Angel Locsin denies rumors of running for the senatorial post in the upcoming 2022 national elections

After the rumors of Angel Locsin’s indicating she will file a certificate of candidacy in October, she confirmed that she is not running for public office in the upcoming 2022 elections. 

“Maglalagay tayo ng senador na karapat-dapat, hindi ako,” Locsin implied on a text message she sent to Ogie Diaz.

The speculations came to light in one of the newest vlogs of Diaz. 

Diaz discussed Locsin’s big heart in helping her countrymen in dire needs, including her colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Recently, Lester Llansang has testified to how good and generous Locsin is as a person. Apart from the actress’s acting skills, he admires her for her genuine kindness toward others.

He revealed that Locsin was the one who took the initiative to pay the hospital expenses when his previous partner gave birth. Also, the Kapamilya actress-philanthropist volunteered to be the godmother of his child.

“Si Gelocs kung tawagin ko siya. Si Angel Locsin. Yung time na tumutugtog ako sa bar niya dati. Lalabas yung anak ko dun, manganganak yung misis ko dati, tapos wala akong budget. Si Angel yung sumagot ng buong bayarin. Tapos ninang pa siya.

“After nun, sabi ko ‘Gel sobrang thank you’, ‘Basta tugtog ka pa rin sa bar ko ha?’, Ganun lang. Walang ano, wala.

“Tapos natuwa ako nung sinabihan niya ako na wag daw ako mawawala sa kasal nila. Nakakatuwa si Angel. Close kami, tropa kami,” he said with confidence.

Locsin is known for her charitable works, on-and-off cameras. With that, people are encouraging her to run for public office.
